The Virgin and Child are standing on a crescnet moon which pierces the disc of the sun and they are surmounted by an angel holding a crown over the head of the Virgin. This embroidery is work on natural coloured, coarse, plain woven linen in laid and couched flosss silks with some details worked in thick brown wool. The faces and hand are applied silk-satin with embroiered and painted detail.
